Call for Editor(s): Symbolic Interaction
The Society for the Study of Symbolic Interaction (SSSI) invites applications for Editor(s) of the journal Symbolic Interaction for a five-year term beginning January 1, 2027. Symbolic Interaction is published by Wiley, which provides substantial financial and infrastructural support for the journal office (details available upon request). The journal is recognized internationally as the central scholarly outlet for the symbolic interactionist perspective. It receives over 100 manuscript submissions annually and is available in more than 6,000 institutions worldwide. The Editor(s) play a critical role in shaping the intellectual direction of interactionism and sustaining the journal’s position as a leading venue for theoretical and empirical scholarship. SSSI seeks candidates who will actively advance the journal’s mission and visibility within a global scholarly community.
